The SRTF Reaches Over 18 Million Beneficiaries Since Its Inception

Damascus –Sunday, 14 June 2026 – The Syria Recovery Trust Fund (SRTF) is thrilled to have reached over 18 million beneficiaries since its inception in 2013, through the implementation of around 150 impactful recovery and stabilisation projects in vital sectors that reached 450 communities inside Syria.

Under its recovery and stabilisation efforts, the Fund has, to date, reached 3.66 million patients through healthcare services, 1.83 million individuals through WASH services, and 955,000 beneficiaries under the electricity sector. It has also supported 248,000 farmers through agricultural activities and 9.29 million people through improved food security interventions. In addition, 150,000 individuals have benefitted from livelihood opportunities, including through the pioneering Revolving Credit Fund (RCF), while 32,000 beneficiaries have benefitted from shelter rehabilitation and 1.06 million individuals under the waste removal sector.

Furthermore, at least 940,000 individuals have been reached through other sectors, including improved education infrastructure and, more recently, multi-sectoral projects.

As the Fund continues to expand its reach and programming, addressing critical gaps within these sectors across the country, it resumes developing strategic partnerships with Syrian government entities, local and global organisations, to ensure reaching those most in need in the most vulnerable communities, effectively.

The SRTF Director General, Eng. Hani Khabbaz stated: "We are proud to have reached over 18 million Syrians with around 150 transformative projects implemented across vital sectors, delivering impactful recovery and stabilisation projects in approximately 450 communities.

Today, we stand as a trusted partner to the Syrian and international stakeholders, to continue to deliver lasting benefits through tens of active projects under delivery across the country.

Building on this strong legacy of results, the SRTF is ready to scale up its support to advance meaningful recovery and development outcomes.”

As we witness Syria evolve, we are reminded of the resilience of its people and the importance of sustaining recovery and stabilisation efforts. We urge the international community to continue its support as new opportunities emerge to strengthen communities and restore livelihoods, so we can continue to shape a more sustainable tomorrow.
