An SRTF Health Project Receives a C-Arm Fluoroscopy Device for Orthopedic Surgeries in Aleppo

Türkiye’ – Sunday, 13 March 2022 – The SRTF’s health project, “Rehabilitation of a Medical Facility and Support for Two Health Facilities in Northern Aleppo”, received a new C-Arm fluoroscopy device today. The device will be used for orthopedic surgeries in one SRTF-supported hospital under this project. The device operates on the basic principle of X-ray technology and is used to visualize patients' anatomy in the operating room during complicated orthopedic surgical, pain management (Anesthetics) & emergency procedures.

 

The delivery comes as part of the project’s goal to supply provisions of medical equipment, essential implant devices for orthopedic treatments, medicines & consumables, provision funds for operations’ costs of the medical facilities for one year after initiation of operations, and to establish a laboratory for epidemiological tests related to COVID-19.

 

Moreover, the project aims to provide operational expenses, including force account for the medical and administrative staff for the approved facilities: casualties treatment center, one hospital, one health center, some of the IE’s staff, and COVID-19 isolation and case management centers.

With a total budget of EUR 3.3 million, the project is estimated to benefit 59,680 patients directly in addition to 335,400 beneficiaries who will benefit indirectly.
