A Water Project Successfully Completes its Activities Facilitating the Supply of Potable Water in Northern Aleppo
Aleppo – Sunday, 3 August 2025 – The SRTF is pleased to announce the successful completion of its water project titled “Restoration of Sustainable and Safe Water Access to Six Communities in a Sub-District in Northern Aleppo.”
As part of the project, three out of the planned four water pumping stations, which also include a treatment plant, were fully rehabilitated and solarised. These efforts included the installation of advanced pumping systems in all three stations, ensuring efficient and sustainable water delivery.
The rehabilitation works encompassed a wide range of civil and technical activities, including excavation, backfilling, concrete construction, fencing, plastering, electrical and plumbing installations, and the setup of surveillance systems. The solarisation component involved installing solar panels, inverters, batteries, protectors, and cables, while the pumping systems were equipped with valves, filters, power metres and panel washing pumps.
These upgrades alone will provide direct access to potable water for approximately 98,444 individuals across the three communities.
With a total budget of EUR 1.57 million, the project is set to benefit an estimated 33,000 households, reaching approximately 168,366 individuals in total. Beyond immediate access to clean and safe drinking water, the project is expected to contribute to long-term improvements in public health, living conditions, and the revitalisation of the local economy.
