Over EUR 2 Million in Contributions from Japan to Boost SRTF Operations in Syria
Damascus – Monday, 30 March 2026 – The Syria Recovery Trust Fund (SRTF) is pleased to announce a new contribution from the Government of Japan amounting to EUR 2.08 million. This marks Japan’s continued commitment to supporting recovery efforts in Syria and builds on its longstanding partnership with the Fund.
With this latest contribution, Japan’s total support to the SRTF has increased to EUR 58.51 million, reaffirming its position as one of the Fund’s key donors. In parallel, total contributions from all donors have risen to EUR 386.41 million further strengthening the SRTF’s capacity to expand its interventions across Syria.
This timely support will enable the Fund to scale up its operations across multiple sectors, contributing to early recovery efforts and helping Syrians rebuild their livelihoods and sustain their households amid ongoing challenges.
