The SRTF Delivers 15 Motorcycles to Two of its Projects in Northern Aleppo Governorate

Türkiye – Thursday, 25th June 2020 - The SRTF’s Management Unit (MU) announced the delivery of 15 motorcycles to the implementing entities (IE) of two of its projects in the Electricity and Waste Removal Sectors. The first project: "Rehabilitation of the Medium and Low Voltage Grid in Selected Urban, Sub-urban and Rural Communities of Jarablus District" received ten motorcycles with accessories, while five motorcycles were delivered to the second project: "Rubble Removal in Eight Communities in Aleppo Governorate- Phase I” including spare parts. This delivery is meant to facilitate the movement and enhance the performance of IE staff as they carry out their duties in different project locations.

The Electricity and Waste Removal projects aim to restore and rehabilitate the infrastructure of various electrical facilities in project targeted areas, and to improve residents’ living conditions by removing debris from around vital living spaces.  Many of the local population and internally displaced people (IDP) families, who reside in the northern countryside of Aleppo, in addition to two camps near targeted areas, are expected to greatly benefit from the two projects.
