The SRTF Inaugurates Four New Heath Clinics in Ar-Raqqa Governorate.

Ar-Raqqa- Monday, March 23rd , 2020 – The SRTF Management Unit announced the opening of four new primary healthcare clinics (PHC) in four communities in Ar-Raqqa Governorate today as part of “Provision of PHC Services and Clean Water Supply for Rural Communities- Phase II ”  bringing the total number of fully operational primary care clinics delivering primary health care services to a grateful community to seven.

 

Phase II was launched with the objective of providing primary healthcare services and improve people access to clean drinking water in four communities in Ar-Raqqa Governorate after the great success observed from Phase I which served three communities.  Phase II also provides support to maintain operations in the existing three PHCs and their ambulances, that were provide in Phase I, to ensure the smooth flow of operations.

 

We are pleased to expand our primary healthcare services to four new communities in Ar-Raqqa. Around 45,000 patients benefited from Phase I of this project and we expect that 65,000 patients to be benefit from Phase II.” Commented Director General Eng. Hani Khabbaz.

 

The intervention comes at a total budget of EUR 3,7 million with around six-month implementation period. It is intended to support 11,334 households in the targeted communities to benefit a population of up to 67,986 across several rural communities, including the three locations that were already supported in the Phase I.
