The SRTF Delivers Ten Generators to Aleppo Governorate

Turkey – Monday, 7 November 2016 – The SRTF Management Unit today delivered ten power generators and spare parts to Aleppo Governorate under its “Rehabilitation and Maintenance of High Voltage Grid in Selected Areas of Aleppo Governorate” project. The delivery took place at a zero point on the Turkish-Syrian border in coordination with the Turkish authorities.
Worth approximately EUR 3.5 million, the project provides maintenance for 10 high voltage sub-stations and seeks to prevent breakdowns and continuing supply of electricity. Through maintenance of the network, replacement of spare parts, switchgear, transformers and generators, it will ensure that no damage occurs throughout the grid; thus, granting electricity power supply for some 2 million inhabitants in Aleppo Governorate.
