The SRTF Delivers Electricity Poles to Support the Rehabilitation of an Electricity Grid in a Town in Aleppo Governorate

Gaziantep – Thursday, 11 June 2015 – The SRTF Management Unit procured and delivered 169 electricity poles to be used by the implementing entity (IE) of the SRTF project for Rehabilitation and Expansion of an Electricity Grid in a town in Aleppo Governorate today. The delivery took place at a “Zero Point” on the Turkish-Syrian border.

 

This is the first shipment of six trucks representing 25% of the total electricity poles that will be provided to the IE in support of rehabilitation of the electricity grid in Aleppo Governorate, which was affected by air strikes and bombing barrels. With the completion of delivery and implementation of aforementioned project, the percentage of local residents receiving power from the electricity grid will increase from 65% to 90%.
