The SRTF Delivers Control Panels for a Water Pumping Station in Idleb Governorate

Turkey – Saturday, 18 March 2017 – The SRTF Management Unit has delivered control panels for a water pumping station undergoing repair works by the SRTF "Rehabilitation of Water Supply System in a City and Surrounding Areas” project. The delivery took place today at a zero point on the Turkish-Syrian border in coordination with the Turkish authorities.

The delivery included 12 control panels needed to reactivate the station upon completion of repair and rehabilitation works. The station will then satisfy the water needs of 80% of the 56,000 residents of the city and adjacent villages.

Worth EUR 865,850, the project is expected to improve the sanitary and health conditions of the beneficiaries by providing a consistent water supply of no less than 60 liters per capita per day. It will also help decease the water cost for poor people to an affordable level of 3% of their household incomes.
