The SRTF Delivers an Ambulance to Help Rescue Lives in Aleppo

Turkey – Friday, 19 August 2016 – In an emergency response to the on-going heavy bombardment of Aleppo and its countryside, the SRTF delivered another ambulance to the Free Aleppo Health Directorate today. The delivery took place at a zero point on the Turkish-Syrian borders in coordination with the Turkish authorities. The ambulance will be operated along with previously provided ambulances in the western countryside of Aleppo.

The delivery of these ambulances is part of the SRTF’s “Filling the Void” project, which seeks to ensure a rapid response to the urgent needs of the Syrian people in liberated areas where vital services are missing.

Under this project a large number of activities are underway in various sectors including emergency health care, food supplies, water and sanitation, electricity generation and network repairs, solid waste management and education.
