An SRTF Funded Primary Healthcare Center Receives a Power Generator in Deir Ez-Zor

Deir Ez-Zor- Tuesday, 11 January 2022- The SRTF announced that its health intervention “Provision of Primary and Specialized medical Services in Deir Ez-Zor received a 50 KVA electric generator today which will be used to provide one of three supported primary health care centers (PHCCs) with electricity.  

 

Under this project, three PHCCs were established which will offer pediatric, internal medicine, reproductive health and labor related services, a nutrition clinic, mental health & psychological support, a dental clinic, a laboratory, and an emergency clinic to the direct benefit of around 119,028 beneficiaries. An estimated 6,582 beneficiaries will benefit from a blood bank in addition to 39,492 indirect beneficiaries. Moreover, a Thalassemia center will directly benefit 294 patients and 1,764 beneficiaries indirectly.

 

With a total budget of EUR 2.5 million, this intervention will focus on five main activities that address critical issues in the health sector in Deir Ez-Zor namely, the provision of primary healthcare services, supporting a medical laboratory supporting a blood bank, supporting the Thalassemia center, personal protective equipment (PPE) for schools. In total, this intervention is expected to benefit around 202,124 people in addition to over one million beneficiaries in Deir Ez-Zor indirectly.
