Civil Works Begin for an SRTF Health Intervention in Deir Ez-Zor

Deir Ez-Zor – Sunday, June 6, 2021 – Civil works began for the SRTF’s health intervention, “Provision of Primary and Specialised Medical Services in Deir Ez-Zor Governorate”, today. These civil works include the rehabilitation and expansion of two buildings that will be turned into a primary healthcare center (PHCC), in addition to electricity and sewer works.

 

This health intervention addresses critical health issues through five main activities: the provision of primary healthcare services, supporting a blood bank, medical laboratory, and Thalassemia center, and distributing personal protective equipment (PPE) to schools.

 

With a budget of EUR 2.5 million, this eight-month intervention is expected to benefit 202,124 people, in addition to over one million indirect beneficiaries.
