The SRTF Arranges Technical Training on Grains Lab Equipment to Boost Food Security in Syria

Turkey – Friday, 28 October 2016 – A technical team of an implementing entity of SRTF food security projects began a training course on use and maintenance of grains laboratory instruments and flour improvers at a training centre of a manufacturing company in Turkey today. The company produces flour quality control instruments and apparatus for physical-chemical analysis for grain milling plants. Organized by the SRTF, the training course will help develop the IEs capacity to better control the quality of flour produced by milling plants provided by the SRTF and installed in the Syrian governorates of Aleppo, Idleb and Dar’a.

The five SRTF projects in the food security sector are seeking to improve the skills of their involved staff, which will largely contribute to the process of enhancing food security in the targeted areas.
