The SRTF Delivers the Second Wheat Mill in Support of the Food Security Sector in Syria

Gaziantep – Sunday, 14 June 2015 – The SRTF Management Unit today delivered the second wheat mill to the Syrian Public Establishment for Grain (SPEG), the Implementing Entity of the SRTF’s “Storage and Milling Support for the National Wheat Programme” project. The delivery took place at Bab Al Hawa/CILVEGOZU on the Turkish-Syrian border.

The first mill was delivered and installed in Aleppo Governorate, and this second mill is being installed in Idleb Governorate, the mill has a daily capacity of 50 tons and full chain of wheat milling process. Two more mills will be delivered in the near future to ensure sufficient milling capacity and secure availability of flour for local communities in Syria.
