Jordan – Tuesday, 1 May 2018 - The SRTF Management Unit delivered a large quantity of livestock vaccination consumables to the implementing entity (IE) of the SRTF “Reestablishment of the Livestock Vaccination Programme in Selected Locations of Dar’a Governorate” project today. The delivered consumables include 30 boxes of disposable plastic syringe injectors containing 100 syringes each, 20 cool boxes of various capacities (3-30 liters), 50 liters of Ethyl alcohol, 50 boxes of disposable rubber medical gloves of 100 pairs each, 100 boxes of disposable medical masks of 50 pieces each, 50 liters of iodine and 20 winter rubber boots.

The goods will be used by the IE staff involved in several vaccination campaigns being carried out under this project in various areas of the governorate.

At a total cost of approximately EUR 318,000, the project is reestablishing the vaccination and veterinary services of Dar’a Governorate with a view to restoring milk and meat production to pre-war levels. This is expected to contribute considerably to efforts by SRTF-supported projects to realize a sustainable level of food security for resource-poor local communities in the governorate.
